Fat Hampster

My hamster's name is Cubby. We gave him hat name because he's chubby.

Chubby spends most of the day sleeping. When he is not sleeping he plays on his wheel. He chews his own house and eats lots of food.

This is the main reason why Chubby is fat...
and cute.

My Summer Shoes

My summer shoes took me to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I also went to a Yankee game.

At the end of the summer vacation, I went to a Cosmo's game. I also went to the Queens Zoo; it was fun.

The Water Cycle

Have you ever wondered where rain, hail, sleet or snow come from? It's the water cycle which is a never ending cycle. The four stages of the water cycle are evaporation, precipitation, condensation and ground water or collection.

Evaporation is one of the four stages in the water cycle. Evaporation is when water becomes water vapor. The sun's heat speeds evaporation. For example, there was a puddle now it's gone. Evaporation is very important.

Do you know what happens to water vapor that goes into the air? It is the next stage in the water cycle called condensation. Condensation is when water vapor goes into the air and becomes water droplets and form clouds. For example on a hot day when you have a cold drink and water goes down the side; it's condensation. Condensation is awesome.

Precipitation is an extremely helpful stage in the water cycle. Have you ever seen rain, snow, sleet or hail? This is precipitation. When clouds come down, that's how you tell it's going to precipitate. Precipitation helps plants, humans, animals and more.

These are the last stages of the water cycle: runoff and collection. Collection is when all of the water collects into the oceans, lakes or streams. Runoff is when water comes down from the tops of mountains and goes into lakes, ponds, oceans and rivers. This is how collection and runoff work.

The water cycle plays an important role in our environment. Evaporation, condensation, precipitation and ground water are part of the steps needed to complete the water cycle.

A Friendly Letter to Benett

Dear Benett,

I wanted to say that you're a great friend. I really want to go to your house, but I have Mathletes today. Hopefully, I could come over this weekend or something.

My dad likes when you come over. You make him feel very good and excited to have you over. I also enjoy it.

Talking about having you over, could we have a sleepover this weekend? It would be great. We could stay up until 2 AM. I really miss coming over even though it was only two days ago.

We could tell jokes, play FIFA or Pokemon cards and much, much more.

Not just that, we could play with my hamster.

2. He replaced my other hamster named Chubby who died of how heavy he was.
3. He's nocturnal, but he wakes up in the morning and says hi, eats and takes a drink.

My name is Corey Joshua Miller. One day I went to a grocery store named Stop and Shop. When I got in I saw the boss chasing something.

I saw food all over the store.

Then an eagle came around the corner. It stopped right in front of me and squawked.

Next the eagle flew and landed on the boss's head.

Right after that I felt sad for the eagle and I said, "Come here, Stop and Shop."

The owner thought I was making of fun of him, but I said that's his name. "Sorry. Stop and Shop is my eagle," I said.

So from then on, we were together.

"Dude, Where's my Lunch?"

One regular fall day for the kinds at California Middle School, three best friends: Tyler, Sam and Matt are hanging out and open their lunch boxes.

Sam has potatoes, cheese bread and some chicken. Tyler has a ham sandwich, some raw meat and some cookies. Then Matt opened his lunch box and screamed. "I don't have any lunch!"

Sam says, "Where did your lunch go? It's not like it could just walk away."

Then Matt yelled, "I'm going to die!"

"Aren't you being a little dramatic?" Sam said.

"No," Matt said, "Can't you see I'm hungry?"

"Yes," he said, "Do you have any money on you?"

"Of course not, why?"

"Because then you could buy lunch."

"Anyway, I don't like the cafeteria lunch; it tastes like garbage."

"Well that's too bad, then."

Then Matt cries. 

"Why are you crying so much?"

"I'm hungry of course."

"Matt, you know what? You can share my lunch."

Mimi Has a Heart Attack: Logan's Special Moment

One week ago my grandma came back home from her Zumba class and she couldn't breathe at all. So they sent her to the hospital. Later they realized she had a heart attack.

We were extremely surprised because she always works out and eats healthy.

The next day my grandpa told my mom. She refused to tell me what happened so I stayed patient.

Two days later, we were having breakfast with my great-grandma at the diner and she started to dial my uncle's phone number so my mom pulled me away from our table and told me what happened. I asked if I could assist.

So for three days I have been calling her every day and every time she sounds a lot better.

To the Principal You Go - September 15, 2014

One day at St. Angelo's school, Cameron and Michael started a fight. Cameron was a boxer. Michael was very jealous and thought he was stronger.

So Cameron hit first and it really hurt Michael. Then the principal, Mrs. Marzano saw through the window and she saw Cameron beating up Michael. Mrs. Marzano came out and took the boys by the ears and pulled them inside. 

"Why are you beating Michael up," Mrs. Marzano asked. 

"Michael is jealous and wanted to fight," Cameron answered.

Mrs. Marzano got angry and yelled at him because she thought he was lying, so she called Cameron's mom.

When Cameron's mom came to school she spanked Cameron and said please let me have a little talk with Michael. 

"Is any of what Cameron said true?" Mrs. Marzano asked Michael.

"No." Michael lied.

Cameron got in trouble and Michael got away with being involved.
